Your opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Australia, you will be responsible for developing marketing campaigns and client collateral, as well as driving the event strategy for the business. In this role, you will:

  • Deliver marketing campaigns, initiatives, collateral and promotional material for a variety of investment strategies and capabilities (fixed income, equities, alternatives) across the intermediary, direct and institutional channels.

  • Develop a comprehensive events and sponsorship program to promote Janus Henderson’s investment capabilities, ensuring leverage of global content and with a focus on agreed priority products. As part of this you will implement all aspects of the event management process across physical/virtual/hybrid events and monitor results to continually seek ways to improve effectiveness.

  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to deliver advertising campaigns, brand building activity, SEM and account-based marketing plans as aligned to overall business strategy.

  • Supervise and support on the production of fund and ETF related collateral for Australian-based investment desks by the Marketing Associate, including, presentations, pitchbooks, collateral and product/offer documentation.

  • Project manage the delivery of customized pitchbooks and presentation packs, including developing creative for new slide development.

  • Manage the delivery of regular client interactions to support sales efforts, whether by email, webinar/webcasts, videoconference, videos or in-person meetings.

  • Drive adoption of the Seismic platform in Australia, by taking ownership of the development of the Australian profiles, including with the development and implementation of sales enablement toolkits for intermediary and institutional channels.

  • Safeguard the strong risk culture of the team by ensuring all marketing materials adhere to global brand guidelines and standards and are approved through agreed compliance processes.

  • Build strong working relationships with Marketing and Distribution colleagues globally to leverage best practices and continue to improve outcomes from activity, and

  • Carry out additional duties as required.

    Must have skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field

  • 4+ years’ marketing experience, with prior financial services marketing a must-have

  • High attention to detail and strong levels of numeracy

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong ideation skills and creative concept development skills, and

  • Understanding of the Australian financial services marketplace and its component parts, including most major asset classes.

    Nice to have skills

  • Prior financial services marketing experience within asset management / investment management marketing (or a supporting agency) preferred

  • Consistent track record in working with colleagues across different geographic regions and time zones.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight timelines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Consistent track record to think and act proactively, to work independently and a desire to work as part of a small team towards common organisational goals, and

  • Ability to act as the voice of client within the organization and a demonstrated focus on client needs.
