Overview of the Role
You will direct the U.S. intermediary sales activities through several markets/channels (e.g., broker dealer, financial planner/registered investment advisor, insurance company) and product areas (e. g., SMA/ETF/Mutual Fund/DCIO) in the Western United States region which includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Minnesota, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, California, Hawaii, Arizona and New Mexico. The West Divisional will lead all Sales Directors within the region. The position reports to the National Sales Manager. Location of the position is required to be in the region.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develops sales plans and budgets for the assigned region.
Develops and maintains relationships with assigned intermediaries.
Works closely with sales staff on increasing sales in the assigned region and in developing and maintaining assigned intermediary relationships.
Supervises and provides coaching to sales staff in a defined geographic region.
Coordinates efforts with marketing and portfolio management staff to launch and promote new products
Assumes additional duties as assigned
Management of the Sales Directors for the West Division. Plans, allocates, monitors work and makes decisions regarding employment, performance appraisal, training, salary adjustments and related personnel actions.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strategic business relationships.
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
Advanced knowledge of the company, including history, investment resources/team/style/process, and fund offerings.
Advanced knowledge of financial services industry and investment products in general, including stocks, bonds, funds, annuities, 401K plans, pension plans.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work and make decisions independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Significant sales, relationship management of 10 plus years in the asset management industry.
Staff management experience preferred but not required.
Divisional VP experience not necessary, but preferred.
Has Series 7 and 63 licenses, and 24 preferred.

Annual Performance Appraisal
Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Working Environment/Physical Activities
Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours
Typical office environment with PC, telephone, copier, fax machine, etc.
