Distribution Services provides business management support to the Janus Henderson Distribution business including: Customer Governance and Customer Strategy; Distribution Strategy; Distributor Due Diligence; Distribution MI and Data Quality Management; Distribution Projects and; Commercial Services and Distribution Agreement support.
Overview of the Role
This role will support key areas of our Distribution business management function, primarily the establishment of JHI’s Distributor Due Diligence process and on-going Customer Governance.
This role is located in our Luxembourg office, and will form a core part of the local team which includes a number of product, distribution, operations, risk and compliance professionals. The role will have a matrix reporting line to the Head of Customer Strategy, London. The role will focus on our Luxembourg and Irish fund ranges. The role will offer the opportunity to be involved in major corporate projects as well as local operations.
This role is influential in meeting our corporate guiding principle of putting our clients at the heart of everything we do as well as ensuring we meet regulatory responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Distributor Due Diligence
Manage the day to day process for issuing and chasing DDD requests.
Collate and compile all necessary DDD reporting and papers for all relevant committees and management boards.
Build direct relationships with our preferred Due Diligence provider(s) to support continued development, enhancement and build out of the DDD process.
Perform due diligence, including periodic onsite visits with distributors.
Develop and support additional DDD responsibilities (extended regulation or further jurisdictional requirements) as required.
- Be involved in branch oversight as appropriate and assist in the development of a branch oversight framework including implementation of monthly reporting and annual due diligence of branch offices.
Oversight of distribution including sales, marketing and product:
Understanding the delegates distribution model and framework;
Assisting in the development of an oversight process of the key distribution pillars;
Helping develop appropriate reporting for the Conducting Officers, HMSA Board and Fund Board.
Ensure investor complaints processes are in place and effective, monitoring complaints from investors in the Luxembourg and Irish fund ranges, establishing appropriate reporting.
Work with Distribution Management and Distribution Projects to support on-going and future Distribution change projects as required.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Good working knowledge of investment funds and products and their distribution
Good IT skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and database used for analysis and reporting purposes
IMC or equivalent preferred
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organisational and project management skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to liaise with senior management, peers and other team members
Committed team player
Prepared to work hard and will enjoy the challenges of a fast moving and changing environment
Strong management of stakeholders and their issues
