Overview of the Role: This role is responsible for conducting complex theoretical and experimental mathematical research for developing investment models.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex theoretical and experimental mathematical research for developing investment models.

  • Collaborate with Investment team on research projects.

  • Design and implement statistical tests.

  • Monitor and enhance implementation of investment process.

  • Understand market structure in context of risk and trading.

  • Communicate insights about markets and firm’s products to internal and external audiences.

  • Author and present articles at and/or attend academic and investment conferences.

  • Requires up to 10% of domestic and international travel.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Statistics or related field.

  • Experience or coursework in: financial mathematics; abstract mathematical models formulated to address practical applications; implementing mathematical algorithms via coding; analysis of data through statistical processing and visualization; and communicating complex mathematical concepts and results to peer groups.
