The department
Distribution is responsible for the marketing, promotion and ongoing development of our product offering, for both institutional and intermediary channels globally. Distribution is a trusted partner to our clients and we enable investment solutions through active management. Areas within Distribution consist of Sales, Global Marketing, Global Product and Investment Trusts.
Janus Henderson’s global product marketing function is responsible for developing and implementing product marketing strategy, including articulating our firm’s unique product capabilities across multiple asset classes, vehicles, regions and channels. It is embedded within the global marketing, product and distribution function.
Overview of the role
This role is responsible for monthly and quarterly production and maintenance of existing core and custom product marketing collateral (e.g. presentations, brochures, profiles) for an assigned product set, ensuring the highest standards in quality and timely delivery to market. This role is primarily tactical in nature, with some strategic initiative work. Working in a highly collaborative fashion, you will interact closely with Product Marketers, Product Specialists, Content, Channel Marketing and Distribution personnel. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced culture, is accustomed to managing multiple projects to tight deadlines and has an interest in the market and investment products. The role will support various global institutional and intermediary businesses.
Duties and responsibilities
You will:
Conduct the scheduled updating of existing core product marketing collateral (with a primary emphasis on product presentations) in a timely and accurate manner for an assigned product coverage
Be responsible for gathering information, including data and copy, and deciphering how the information will show in the produced materials
Ensure accuracy, appropriateness and quality reviews of presentations and other marketing material from a product, audience, internal best practices and a regulatory perspective
Have a basic understanding of regional regulatory and compliance requirements for financial promotions and marketing materials
Utilize knowledge of industry and company product information to determine which data is most appropriate for usage
Work with the team and more senior staff to deal with complex products, larger clients, accounts, projects, analyses, or internal relationships
Partner with management to train and help more junior members of the team grow
Lead global team initiatives with minimal supervision
Perform product change management duties by asking appropriate follow-up questions and recognizing the implications of changes across multiple records and/or resources
Adhere to production and file retention processes in order to maintain accurate recordkeeping of electronic files in accordance with department and regulatory requirements and to ensure the appropriate tracking of all key project milestones
Carry out additional duties as assigned

Technical skills and qualifications
Significant marketing experience preferably within the financial services industry or equivalent required
Significant experience in a production-oriented role required
Good asset class knowledge preferred; emphasis in alternatives, multi-asset and complex investment products a major plus
Institutional and/or intermediary experience preferred
Multiple vehicle (Separate/Segregated Account, Mutual Fund, UCIT, OEIC, SICAV, VIT, ETF, etc.) marketing experience a major plus
Competencies required

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and high volumes simultaneously
Strong computer skills including MS PPT, Word and Excel

Familiarity with the financial marketplace and distribution process is a major plus
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Strong ability to chart financial and/or complex data
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong understanding of industry regulatory and compliance requirements
Experience with proofreading, fact checking and an editorial eye
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed, in line with applicable regulatory requirements, by:
Annual performance appraisal
