Product Governance & Oversight Manager
Global Product, Distribution
Distribution is responsible for the marketing, promotion and ongoing development of our product offering, for both institutional and intermediary channels globally. Distribution is a trusted partner to our clients and we enable investment solutions through active management. Areas within Distribution consist of Sales, Global Marketing, Global Product and Investment Trusts.
Overview of the role
The Product Governance and Oversight Function sits within the wider Global Product team, which itself is within Distribution. You will be part of the expanding Product Governance and Oversight Function, focused on managing and developing the oversight framework for Janus Henderson’s European products (approximately 140 funds domiciled across UK, Luxembourg and Ireland).
Duties and responsibilities
Help to manage Janus Henderson’s Product Oversight Committee (POC).
Coordinate the production of internal product lifecycle reviews and other review activities supporting the POC.
Be part of the project team managing and evolving the UK Value Assessment process.
Lead the development of a centralised and modular product review and management reporting framework.
Work with investment (including regular, direct discussions with Portfolio Managers), Marketing and Compliance teams to ensure alignment between product documentation and investment strategies.
Oversee Janus Henderson’s product-led Literature Principles.
Advise the Product Development team in the drafting of Objective, Policy & Strategy statements and determining risk disclosures for new product documents.
Contribute to projects addressing new product regulation.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Technical skills and qualifications
Knowledge and experience of the asset management product development, product management and product governance landscape.
Able to communicate with and understand portfolio managers in their language (IMC a minimum requirement).
Understanding and knowledge of the asset management regulatory environment, particularly UK and EU fund regulations.
Familiarity with different fund domiciles and fund structures including in the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg.
Able to contribute to the development and management of the broader Global Product function.
