The department

The Product Data team is a part of the wider Marketing Technology and Operations department is a newly created function.

Overview of the role

Responsible for receiving, collecting and returning to the requestor standard and non-standard data for use in core marketing collateral and product presentations, ensuring the highest standards in quality and timely delivery to market. Maintains appropriate governance procedures and documentation as evidence to how, where and when data was collected. This role will be critical in elevating data issues within the current data repository and following up on necessary resolution. Requires decision-making to determine the most appropriate usage of information. Utilizes product knowledge, various data and content sources, as well as internal networks, to obtain required information and ensure the development of accurate and compelling materials.

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

  • Makes decisions on data issues and determines most appropriate course of action for the completion of quarterly materials.

  • Requires knowledge of industry and company product information to determine which data is most appropriate for usage.

  • Oversees, produces, quality assures and delivers to market data in the production of high quality core marketing collateral in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for understanding the application of the data that is being requested to ensure that the appropriate source is used and the appropriate calculation methods are used (when necessary).

  • Takes full ownership of all projects from inception through completion ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely delivery.

  • Partners effectively with internal business partners including, but not limited to, Sales, Product Management and Marketing, Global Presentations, RFP, Design, Web, Compliance, Investments and Fulfillment.

  • Escalates issues and concerns to management in order to prioritize projects, mitigate the risk of not meeting deliverables and improving the overall quality and consistency of materials. Communicates with stakeholders as appropriate in order to manage expectations and meet requirements.

  • Adheres to production and file retention processes in order to maintain accurate recordkeeping of electronic files in accordance with department and regulatory requirements and to ensure the appropriate tracking of all key project milestones.

  • Facilitates projects and researches and resolves potential challenges in an effort to ensure continuous efficiency gains and improved accuracy.

  • Proactively engages in opportunities to enhance knowledge regarding product set, the market, business requirements and client expectations.

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and understanding of Tableau reporting tools

  • Ability to take initiative and reach out to different groups for information and answers

  • Ability to effectively manage projects in an often unpredictable deadline-driven environment

  • Prior related industry experience is required, for e.g. RFP, Client Reporting, Product or Marketing Technology etc.

  • Understanding of financial concepts, industry terminology and performance reporting preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree required
