The department

These dynamic teams are structured and operate in ways that are best suited to their asset classes and manage products designed to meet a range of investor needs globally. Our Investment teams are grouped under: Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Assets and Alternatives.
Overview of the role
As a Corporate Credit Portfolio Analyst you will work closely alongside the Research Analysts and Portfolio Managers to provide excellent data support, including the collection, presentation and reporting of accurate data. You will liaise regularly with multiple teams across the business and will work on ad hoc investment projects. You will assist in building applications that both improve the team’s efficiency as well as tools to improve alpha.
Duties and responsibilities
You will:
Portfolio Manager & Analyst support
Update and maintain portfolio risk modelling spreadsheets; perform risk analysis on a variety of corporate mandates
Produce daily performance reports and position summaries as needed
Update monthly standard presentations and assist in the preparation of data for presentations, client reporting and ad hoc marketing content; communicate with clients as necessary
Work closely with the Performance Measurement team to ensure accurate reporting and performance attribution
Provide analytics to ensure consistency across accounts and strategies
Work with the portfolio manager and research analysts on ad hoc investment projects
Assist in building quantitative tools for better capturing data and enhancing alpha generation
Help the team with data collection and sourcing of company information and statistics
Assist in data gathering and analysis to inform the team’s macroeconomic views
Engage with other departments to facilitate portfolio administration such as corporate actions
Respond to ad-hoc requests from the team, client portfolio managers, client account managers, operations team, RFP team and marketing department
Portfolio Data Integrity
Build up knowledge of the CRD dealing platform (the team’s portfolio management software) and associated custom applications
Work with relevant internal and external teams to resolve discrepancies as required
Set-up of new securities
Assist in ongoing development of CRD and associated systems
Investment areas
Has responsibility for supporting portfolios within Corporate Credit asset classes.

Technical skills and qualifications
Advanced working knowledge of Excel, including advanced macros and VBA
Educated to degree level, preferably with a focus towards data science/finance
Knowledge of Python or alternative coding language is preferred
Interest in financial markets / macroeconomics and a desire to learn about investments and the analysis of fixed income markets
Desire to study towards the IMC and/or CFA qualifications
Advanced PowerPoint skills.
Relevant and/or similar experience working in fixed income markets is desirable but not essential
