The Department
Janus Henderson operates an outsourced operating model, in partnership with our Third Party Administrators (TPA). The primary focus of the Operations team is the oversight and management of the TPAs as well as supporting internal clients for example the Distribution and Investment teams. Operations also support numerous projects and operational changes and maintain best practice in operational processes.
Fund Operations oversees the outsourced Transfer Agency (TA) and Fund Administration.
Overview of the Role
Your role is business analysis and implementation of mainly Transfer Agency related projects related to the outsourced rebate and renewal commission functions within transfer agency for Janus Henderson Investors fund ranges domiciled in UK, Luxembourg and Ireland. This includes supporting Distribution operationally, specifically with respect to management and execution of fee rebates. The following fund types are supported: UK OEICs, UTs, SICAVs, Hedge, Irish UCITs and Investment Trusts.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will:
Perform business analysis and implementation of rebate and TA changes initiated by the Client, Distribution, Fund Operations, Regulatory Changes, and the TA
Represent the Rebate and TA team as part of working groups as subject matter expert
Work with various departments including Technology to successfully implement Rebate and TA changes
Work in conjunction with TA projects, ensuring new and ongoing change requests are completed timely according to team requirements and needs.
Detail operating models and ensure requirements are understood and delivered with a good handover to BAU
Build good relationships with TPA’s and internal departments
Design and produce monthly team MI including query stats
Assist and participate on Rebate Project where necessary – participating in the remediation, tactical and strategic project including review of :

Workflow processes
Agreement onboarding
Reconciliation controls
TA interaction
Produce rebate specific MI for management and quarterly board reports.
Assist on Strategic TPA Consolidation project on the Rebate TA transition:

Test onboarding and client setup
Plan and manage parallel run
Review client output
Working together with Finance, on project to automate Transfer agency payments; direct client payments.
Build strong relationships with third party suppliers, transfer agents and key internal stakeholders, specifically Distribution.
Review and maintain a strong control focused operating environment
Team efficiencies - enhance and develop existing processes and procedures for example controls and reporting:

Review possible query management tool; complete testing, streamline and roll out to the team.
Complete / build monthly / quarterly checklist for the team.
Implement oversight improvements including document procedures, process flows, task based checklists.
Rebate form automation with Transfer Agent
Review of current fund group list with Transfer Agent.
Client enhancements – based on requests received by distribution to improve the client experience – e.g. Rebate statements in Excel format (via Victor Buck portal service offering).
Carry out additional duties as assigned

Technical Skills and Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Strong background and experience in outsourced TPAs preferably Transfer Agency
Excellent numeracy skills
Intermediate standard on Microsoft Word & Excel
Understanding of offshore and UK funds would be an advantageCompetencies Required
