The Department

The Multimedia team is a comprehensive in-house resource for all video and photography requirements ensuring the adherence of the Janus Henderson brand.

The Multimedia team is responsible for the recording and editing all video content for Janus Henderson clients. The team uses an in-house studio facility to record high quality interviews using high quality cameras and lighting equipment.

Overview of the Role

You will be required to support the Head of Creative Services and the business with any Multimedia needs. You will also be required to exemplify and deliver the following:

  • High quality corporate videos for distribution on the web, including live streaming of events

  • All of the company’s portrait photographic requirements using the in-house photographic studio

  • Animations for integration into video content using After Affects CC

Duties and Responsibilities

You will:

  • Film, edit and export corporate videos

  • Have an in depth knowledge of the workings and fundamentals of DSLR photography with the purpose of taking corporate photographic portraits both group and individual

  • Operate the live broadcasting to TV networks using the in-house GlobeLynx system

  • Deliver projects to agreed outcomes and time frames

  • Assist with live streaming events for the web

  • Support the team in the development of new products, systems and processes suitable for Janus Henderson and external client needs

  • Establish and develop relationships with people at all levels within the business

  • Provide prompt, efficient service to clients ensuring delivery to agreed deadlines

  • Be customer-focused and able to identify the needs of each individual client by tailoring corporate guidelines to meet their needs within brand capabilities

  • Require the ability to work well under pressure and to be able to work well within a team environment and on own initiative

  • Produce and host podcasts for both internal and external clients

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient using Apple Mac systems

  • Advanced in using either Adobe Premiere CC

  • Advanced Adobe Photoshop software CC

  • Advanced experience in audio/video equipment

  • Competent using After Effects CC

  • Experience using SLR cameras and professional lenses

  • Able to manage projects pulling together different parts of the business and diverse skill sets

  • Design and creative skills with all video content

  • Strong understanding of digital SLR photography and video methods

  • Knowledge of broadcasting, digital video and digital editing techniques

  • Expert knowledge of streaming video for the web and compression techniques

  • Experience with onsite set up of Audio/Video and Broadcast productions

  • A pro-active and structured working approach

  • Experience in working in corporate environments

  • Constantly seeking ways to be more efficient with production times and to be innovative within the constraints of budgets

Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:

  • Annual Performance Appraisal

  • Completion of all assigned Compliance training
