Information Security Operating Officer
Overview of the role
You will be part of the Information Security leadership team reporting into the Global CISO. You will be responsible for the planning and supervision of the operational business functions (including audit management) of the Information Security team in accordance with the Information Security strategy and the wider business strategy.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be taking responsibility for the following key processes for the Information Security team:
Audit response management
Risk acceptance process. To properly manage our risks, we need not only to identify them, but in situations where we can’t immediately mitigate, we must have a formal process to manage, including risk acceptance.
Policy/Standard drafting/publishing process. Updates to policies and standards are anticipated, so we need a process to ensure subject matter experts are engaged and appropriate review takes place.
Board reporting materials
Metrics and indicators
Budget & resource allocation
And additional duties as assigned
1 project manager in the short term, though potential in due course for greater managerial responsibilities.
Technical skills and qualifications
IT Audit experience, ideally from the Big 4
Specialist Information Security knowledge is advantageous but not a necessity as you will be leveraging the subject matter expertise within the team. however, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about and work in the exciting area of cybersecurity.
Experience of setting up and managing operational processes
Management of budgets
Extensive project management experience and ideally a project management qualification
Technology management background
Development and reporting of metrics
Ideally educated to degree level
Prior line managerial responsibilities preferred
