Your opportunity
Oversee the day-to-day management and adherence to HR owned Senior Manager & Certification Regime processes, for example working closely with HR business partners to draft Statements of Responsibility for Senior Managers, ensuring Fit & Proper assessments are conducted for new hires and role changes
Liaise with Compliance, Company Secretariat and HRBPs and action any requirements triggered by changes in the business (e.g. changes to Senior Managers, Prescribed Responsibilities and allocation of certification functions)
Run the end to end annual Fit & Proper assessment for the Certification population
Act as secretariat for the SMCR Conduct and Governance Committee who oversee SMCR related conduct and governance decisions
Be the system owner and key user for the SMCR system (Accord)
Work closely with Talent Development to ensure the Continuing Professional Development framework for SMCR and Knowledge and Competency requirements under Mifid II are implemented effectively
Provide reporting and performance metrics to the SMCR Committee and UK Boards
Responsible for updating the firm’s Management Responsibilities Map and liaising with Compliance on submission of updates to the FCA
Carry out other duties as assigned
