The department

The Finance teamoperates across all business lines to maximise stakeholder returns. Withapproximately 80 members globally, the team represents awide range of expertise and experience, servicing not only the UK, but also Continental Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

Overview of the role

This London based role, reporting to the FP&A Manager, sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, which is primarily responsible for group level forecasting & budgeting and management reporting. The team’s objective is to facilitate effective forward decision-making by Executives and Board members through delivery of regular reporting, financial analysis and strategic insights. In addition, the team leads peer/industry analysis studies, group-wide profitability modeling and supports the quarterly external results process.

The FP&A team works closely with the Business Finance team to collectively form the Global FP&A & Business Finance Team, whichprovides business partnering, Budgeting & Forecasting, Management Information and Executive level support across the firm and to variousexternal stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

  • Contribute to delivery of the Group’s annual budget and re-forecast process, as well as delivery of materials to the JHG Group Board of Directors

  • Generate ongoing forecasts for performance fees (excluding those associated with US mutual funds); ensuring regular analyses of variances between forecasts are conducted to keep management and key stakeholders informed of changes and trends

  • Lead tracking and reporting of efficiency savings for the firm

  • Work in partnership with Accounting and Tax teams where required to deliver on wider Finance objectives

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Supervisory responsibilities

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent preferred

  • Good financial modelling skills

  • Ability to analyse data and provide relevant financial insights

  • Competency with Microsoft Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools

  • Experience with SAP BPC, Anaplan or other financial reporting software a plus
