Your opportunity
You will be responsible for defining and developing exciting effective business and systems solutions as well as leading ongoing support for existing ones.
You will be an integral member of the Enterprise Technology Team, working closely with business partners, vendors, IT Product Owners, other Business Analysts, and IT Developers to ensure full delivery of the product lifecycle.
Partner with the product owner and delivery team in an agile environment where we interact directly with business partners to establish requirements for and develop new solutions and enhance and maintain existing ones.
Research, design, develop, test, debug, document and support custom .NET applications in support of investment business needs.
Deliver to time sensitive product release schedules working as a cooperative team member in an agile development environment.
Produce technical specifications and release notes for required features and architectural/framework improvements.
Client focused, committed to excellence, strong attention to detail and a team player.
Provide ongoing change management including training and documentation updates
Collaborate closely with the wider technology teams to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues and understand overlaps of teams and applications
Use data developer skills to help download and maintain the financial data we use
Turn our data into outstanding reports and dashboards used by our business partners

Must have skills
Software skills that include Microsoft .Net Core, C#, OOP and SOLID principles, SQL are essential.
Nice to have skills
The Microsoft technology stack. Specifically: C#, Web APIs, SQL Server, Entity Framework, Visual Studio; an understanding of differences between standard and .NET core platforms
Cloud platform exposure (preferably Microsoft Azure) and concepts such as App Services, Blob storage, App Registrations, Azure SQL, Azure AD and MS Graph; deploying to an Azure cloud environment through YAML DevOps pipelines
UI / front end development skills using web technologies
Familiarity with Mobile or cross platform app development
Data development skills on databases like SQL Server, Databricks, Cosmos DB and Snowflake
Potentially other development platforms such as python, Power BI, other data analytics
An understanding of Agile delivery methodologies for technology solutions.
Knowledge of the asset management business, preferably in distribution and marketing is good to have.
Experience of working in a development team and collaborating with IT and business partners to build out requirements for innovative solutions.
An enthusiasm for software development and acquiring new skills & knowledge, both in the tech and investments arenas.
An exposure to collaboration tools such as Git / source control, Jira, Confluence and Teams.
