Overview of the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the HR Business Partner(s) for Investments, Legal, and Distribution teams, responding to business unit needs regarding day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation, learning and development, headcount reporting and employee relations. You will work independently on routine projects receiving mentorship from the HRBP team.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will:

  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, help business units manage employee performance by coaching management on goal setting, rewards, recognition and compensation. This includes partnership on global initiatives including Employee Survey, Talent Review and the Year End compensation process.

  • In partnership with the HR Business Partner(s), handle less complex employee relations issues. Meet with HR Business Partner, legal team, managers and employees to troubleshoot issues and identify next steps. Manage the lifecycle of the situation and drive to the appropriate conclusion.

  • Responsible for administration on all Global Mobility, Immigration matters, and all Leaves of Absence and oversight of those processes for your employee population.

  • Conduct exit interviews with employees. Summarize and maintain documentation, analyze trends and provide results and observations to HR Business Partner(s) and managers on a periodic basis.

  • Responsible for headcount and base pay budget tracking for assigned business units ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

  • Coordinate with managers to review and/or develop job descriptions and prepare open roles for posting. Liaise with the HR Business Partner(s), compensation and recruiting to ensure timely and complete submissions.

  • Partner with HR team to deliver the best solutions and service in recruiting, compensation, Learning and Development, and other areas of HR. May be actively involved in recruitment of employees.

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • Requires analytical, critical thinking, and interpretive skills to apply various employment situations against numerous complicated employment laws and regulations.

  • Working knowledge of Human Resource Management and policies; especially employee relations and regulatory requirements such as FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and EEO regulations.

  • Communication skills, with particular ability to communicate complex and/or sensitive information in a clear, concise, diplomatic and professional manner at all levels of the organization.

  • Computer knowledge, including solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems, SAP and SuccessFactors a plus.

  • Ability to balance and complete multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with business unit clients and HR peers; good team player.

  • Able to work well independently, with little supervision.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and in an appropriate manner.

Competencies Required

  • Three plus years’ experience in HR required, preferring a combination of experience in employee relations, management development, learning and development, compensation and recruiting.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • PHR Certification preferred

Working Environment

  • Overtime may be required on short notice and may include weekend/evening/holiday hours

  • General office equipment such as PC, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.
