Your opportunity
Lead a team performing risk-based reviews to ensure Fund accounting data, including NAVs and Fund yields, are accurate and consistent with US GAAP and regulatory requirements
Oversee the accrual, approval, and payment of Fund expenses consistent with Board approved methodologies, legal agreements, and fund registration documents
Review accounting and expense related information in Fund financial statements, regulatory filings, and other reporting
Review the processes, procedures, and controls around the operational management of the Funds to drive continuous improvement and ensure a best practice operational model
Investigate and resolve issues identified in the oversight model ensuring appropriate preventative controls are implemented
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external business partners, including Fund service providers and auditors; serve as point of contact for Fund related inquiries, escalating where appropriate
Partner with external Fund service providers to promptly resolve operational and accounting issues to ensure the service providers meet service expectations, quality, and timeliness metrics
Subject matter expert for oversight systems and automation tools
Research new accounting standards and regulatory guidance to draft new, or propose changes to existing, Fund policies and procedures as required
Implement and operationalize new accounting standards by effective date
Deliver open and clear communication of information regarding issues and business events across multiple facets of the organization
Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
Seven years related US mutual fund, accounting and/or audit experience required; experience performing oversight of a third-party administrator preferred
Subject matter expert in fund accounting for US mutual funds, ETFs and non-registered products
Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Committed team player who thrives in a high impact team
Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $115,000-$125,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
