Overview of the role

This Denver based role, reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, which is primarily responsible for group level forecasting & budgeting and management reporting. The team’s objective is to facilitate effective forward decision-making by Executives and Board members through delivery of regular reporting, financial analysis and strategic insights. In addition, the team leads peer/industry analysis studies, group-wide profitability modeling and supports the quarterly external results process.

The FP&A team works closely with the Business Finance team to collectively form the Global FP&A & Business Finance Team, which provides business partnering, budgeting & forecasting, management information and executive level support across the firm and to various external stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

  • Own production of the Group’s monthly results reporting pack and “flash update” for ExCo and The Board

  • Produce fund-by-fund profitability analysis for US Mutual 15c and UK Value assessment processes

  • Deliver materials for the annual US Mutual Fund Trustee 15c process, as well as monthly & quarterly flows/financial updates

  • Produce financial materials and provide support for the North America Leadership team

  • Complete monthly calculations/updates for fund administration reimbursement file, and the Portfolio Manager Other Accounts Managed (OAM) report

  • Generate ongoing forecasts for performance fees (including those associated with US mutual funds), ensuring regular analyses of variances between forecasts are conducted to keep management and key stakeholders informed of changes and trends

  • Produce of regional/entity forecasting and deliver to tax team to aid determination of global tax forecasts

  • Contribute to development of the finance platform, working closely with the Finance Technology Team

  • Work in partnership with Accounting and Tax teams where required to deliver on wider Finance objectives

  • Assist with verification of external results

    Technical skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent

  • Post-graduate degree (MBA, MS), or financial certification (CFA, CPA, CMA) a plus

  • Good financial modelling skills

  • Ability to analyse data and provide relevant financial insights

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill (including reference formulas, eg VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH) and proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools

    Compensation Information

    The base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

    Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
