Overview of the Role
The Director, Data Quality will be responsible for working closely with multiple functional groups across several lines of business, to implement an enterprise-wide quality framework, department-specific data quality monitoring controls, driving data defect remediation, front end controls and data movement controls for all data domains. This role will interact with senior leaders across business units, functional areas, technology, and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage insights, analysis, and quality for data with a broad enterprise-wide focus and impact across multiple data domains.
Develop the vision for an ever-evolving Data Quality framework that not only satisfies current needs but can be easily adapted to future needs as new sources of data input and requirements for data output are identified.
Provide leadership in establishing data quality goals, and ensuring the design and implementation of initiatives to achieve those goals.
Define measurement standards and collaborating with business partners to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions and measurements.
Partner with data stewards to provide results of data quality analysis, which will be used to make decisions regarding how to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs and/or regulatory compliance initiatives.
Report key metrics related to quality of mastered data.
Manage the development of audits and controls structured around business processes and data quality target state.
Establish standards for metadata content and documentation of consistent enterprise-wide data definitions, processes and ownership.
Consult on projects and providing training and education to business and IT.

Technical Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business administration, statistics or computer science
At least 8 years of data management experience
Comprehensive knowledge of data quality practices and processes
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management
Expert knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements
For those in scope of Knowledge & Competence (MiFID II)
Knowledge of financial markets, financial markets function and the impact of economic figures and national/regional/global events on markets
Understanding of issues relating to market abuse and anti-money laundering
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
