As a Business Intelligence Analyst Intern you will support the internal and external sales and marketing teams with selling our investment products through a variety intermediary, institutional, and international channels including: brokerage firms, financial advisors/brokers, banks, and insurance companies. You will respond to client information requests, answer channel, firm, and product related questions, and provide sales performance data and analytics in an effort to help our Sales team become more effective at meeting the needs of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
30%: To be a trusted business partner and go-to resource for your teammates and our internal business customers about our distribution data.
10%: Work closely with other corporate groups to drive data integration where needed and provide expertise on our strategic data analysis and reporting needs across the enterprise
30%: Perform data analysis to gain insight into business functions and help make recommendations to the team.
30%: Provide guidance and expertise with all levels of the organization
Assumes additional duties as assigned
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports; assist in preparing written reports; and accompany or shadow professional level employees on assignments.
Utilizes current department specific software: Cognos, Tableau, Alteryx, Salesforce.com, SQL, R, and Python; to complete assignments.
Focus areas include analyzing customer behavior as they interact with Janus Henderson, identifying top customer journeys and associated customer metrics, then sharing insights cross-functionally to drive improved results.
Collect requirements for current and future tool development.
Support BI tools, processes, reports and documentation
Work with each business support unit to analyze customer requirement in terms of support
Analyze and propose solutions to business reporting requirements
Candidates must be enrolled as a full time student at the time of the internship
Incoming juniors and seniors highly preferred
Looking for candidates who are passionate about the mutual fund/financial services industry
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:

Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
