You will be focused on the on-going delivery of client facing technologies for our global business. Responsibilities include the creation of business system requirements, solving technology issues, and solution design participation for all technologies/systems within the Client Facing Change space. Your initial focus is in support of the BAU Scrum. This includes troubleshooting, implementing small-enhancements and integrations within the client facing change technology stack. You will collaborate frequently with our business partners, management and other IT resources and/or vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will:

  • Work with business partners to prioritize work

  • Collaborate with business partners to identify need/issue

  • Partner with the team to identify approach to resolve issues and identify commonalities

  • Organizes and facilitates meetings where requirements are documented

  • using business process descriptions, use cases, and competitive product analysis.

  • Independently work to define and document business system requirements.

  • Collaborate with business, development and testing teams to clarify requirements.

  • Applies business analysis techniques to analyze system capabilities, workflows, and functional limitations.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the technology stack being supported

  • Ensure appropriate level of documentation is collected for shared knowledge/collaboration

  • Find opportunities for improvements or enhancement of existing systems

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced SQL query capabilities

  • Good knowledge of databases and data structures (ETL knowledge ideal)

  • Ability to analyze business needs and translate them to technology requirements

  • Experience with systems which feed data to downstream services for end user distribution a huge plus

  • Experience in the Asset Management industry or other financial services experience a plus

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools a distinct advantage

  • Exposure to fund hierarchy, different financial instruments and complex system interfaces

  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, Agile development environment

  • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in business and systems analysis

  • 2 years’ experience working in an agile development environment

Competencies Required

  • Experience working in a task-oriented environment

  • Knowledge in analysis of computer applications, databases, bespoke technologies, process and workflow improvement

  • Working knowledge of prevalent PC operating systems, networks, tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the

  • ability to communicate information technology concepts to non-technology

  • personnel

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with all levels of management, staff, outside vendors, contractors, and consultants

  • Self-starter, quick learner, collaborative and able to switch between tasks as required

Working Environment/Physical Activities

  • PC usage up to 100% of the time.

  • Basic office equipment such as telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.

  • Overtime and weekend hours may be required.

For those in scope of Knowledge & Competence (MiFID II)

  • Knowledge of financial markets, financial markets function and the impact of economic figures and national/regional/global events on markets

  • Understanding of issues relating to market abuse and anti-money laundering
