The Janus Henderson Investors Legal Organisation enjoys an outstanding reputation for customer focus and impeccable integrity. Overview of the role

Responsible for on-going maintenance of fund registrations, preparation of prospectuses, statements of additional information, supplements, and other regulatory filings for Janus Investment Fund (JIF), Janus Aspen Series (JAS), Janus Detroit Street Trust (DST), and Clayton Series Trust (CST). Also responsible for supporting other regulatory filings, and reviewing various financial-related regulatory filings, such as annual and semi-annual shareholder reports, quarterly portfolio holdings reports, and annual proxy voting reports.

Duties and responsibilities

You will:

  • Prepare and review registration statements and ongoing updates for JIF, JAS, DST, and CST.

  • Prepare and review other regulatory filings and legal work related to the U.S. domiciled Trusts (as noted above).

  • Perform legal work related to creation and maintenance of new and existing funds.

  • Collect and coordinate data and comments necessary for such regulatory updates.

  • Assist with coordination of typesetting/editing/printing of documents with internal/external clients and vendors.

  • Prepare regulatory filing packages for submission to the SEC.

  • Maintain regulatory files and production schedules (hardcopy and electronic).

  • Review and coordinate internal and external comments in relation to various financial regulatory filings.

  • Coordinate internal distribution of filings and associated documents.

  • Assist with review and coding invoices for JIF, JAS, DST, and CST.

  • Perform occasional legal research.

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

    Technical skills and qualifications

  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and disclosure management software (ArcProspectus experience strongly considered)

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • At least one year experience as a 40 Act paralegal or equivalent preferred

  • Experience in the mutual fund/financial services industry preferred

  • Experience with exchange-traded funds (ETFs) strongly considered

  • Paralegal certificate or other legal training experience preferred

    At a minimum the role will require you to:

  • Understand and follow laws and regulations applicable for your role, seeking the help of your supervising manager or Compliance if additional guidance is required

  • Understand and abide by all Janus Henderson policies applicable to your role, and seek support/guidance of the policy owner guidance when required

  • You are ultimately accountable for your actions and responsible for seeking further information on any or all of the above as necessary.

    Compensation Information

    The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

    Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
